Reception Service Overview
The material is subsequently weighed, homogenized, and sampled in the presence of the Client or their Representative, should the Client choose to be represented. Obtaining a representative sample is crucial for the Client and for all subsequent internal processes. We assure our Clients of the highest standards in homogenization techniques and sampling methods for all types of metals. Data from each delivery is meticulously recorded in our SAP system, ensuring safety, traceability, and full control of each batch within our ERP system.

- Logistics Processing
- Weighing Processing
Step 1: Precious metals are transported or shipped to Global Gold Refinery Company Limited in coordination with the Client.
Step 2: Our Sales department will contact the Client’s Representative to agree on the date and time for the weighing, melting, and sampling operations, provided the Client opts to have a representative present.
Step 3: Upon arrival at our premises, each shipment undergoes an immediate inspection of the boxes, containers, or parcels.
Step 4: Each shipment is subjected to a radioactivity check. If the test is positive, the carrier will not be allowed to unload the material, and the shipment will be rejected.
Step 5: If any damage to the boxes, containers, or parcels is detected, or if any seals are broken, Global Gold Refinery Company Limited will promptly inform the Client about the extent of the damage. We will request approval to proceed with the weighing, melting, and sampling operations. Until approval is received, the shipment will be securely stored in our vaults. If non-conformities are identified during unloading or upon acceptance of the material, the Logistics department will segregate the material in the vault and await further instructions from the Sales department.
Step 6: The Logistics department will verify that the received parcels fully comply with the details provided in the Advised Information, including:
- Name of Client/Sender/Consignee
- Number of packages or boxes
- Gross weight of packaging, bags, and bars
- Number of bags and bars
- Total net weight of each bag and bar
- Total estimated fine metal content of the shipment (per metal) in troy ounces, according to the Client’s assays
- Certified copy of the Client’s assays indicating the fine metal content estimates
- Name of the Client’s Representative for the weighing, melting, and sampling operations, if designated
- Any other information relating to the shipment as reasonably requested by Global Gold Refinery Company Limited
Once the Logistics department has checked, verified, and approved the incoming material, it is moved to the Balance Room and arranged according to the Client’s instructions. For shipments requiring Client supervision by a Representative, the parcels are either temporarily stored in our vault or directly moved to the Balance Room (sealed), where they are checked, opened, and unpacked under the supervision and control of the Client’s Representative.
Step 1: Establishing Net Weights
Before weighing the material, the balance is verified using standard reference weights. The material is then divided into melting lots according to the Client's specific instructions. If no prior instructions have been provided, the material will be divided at Global Gold Refinery Company Limited’s discretion, ensuring the Client’s best interests are met, based on the type of material received and our melting capacity. The total net weight of each melting lot is printed by the balance and recorded in our ERP system.
Step 2: Comparison of Net Weights with Advised Information
The established net weights are then compared with those listed in the Advised Information. Global Gold Refinery Company Limited will promptly notify the Client or their Representative if there are any discrepancies. The processing of the material will be paused until an agreement on the difference is reached between the Client and Global Gold Refinery Company Limited. If an agreement is not reached within two business days from the date of notification, the material will be returned to the Client or their Representative at our premises, at the Client’s expense, without any further obligation on our part.
